ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Good news for the Pakistani passport holder as they can now visit 33 countries in the world where without any visa and prior visa history, according to the Passport Index.
According to the Passport Index released by Henley & Partners for January to June 2025, visa-free access is given to Pakistani citizens in three different categories.
The first category is “true visa-free travel”, which does not require any prior arrangements or permission. The second category is called “Visa on Arrival”, under which a visa is issued at the airport upon arrival in the respective country.
The third category is “Electronic Travel Authority (ETA)”, in which it is necessary to obtain an online permit before travel.
These three facilities provide easy travel to different countries for Pakistani passport holders. This facility provides a rare opportunity for those wishing to engage in tourism, business activities and cultural exchange.
The list of these countries includes Barbados, Burundi, Cambodia, Cape Verde, Comoros, Cook Islands, Djibouti, Dominica, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, Maldives, Mauritania, Micronesia, Montserrat, Mozambique, Kenya, Madagascar, Nepal, Niue, Palau, Qatar, Rwanda, Samoa, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Timor-Leste, Trinidad and Tobago, Tuvalu and Vanuatu.
Although visa-free or on-arrival facilities are available in these countries, some places may require some basic documents such as hotel booking, return ticket or proof of financial resources to obtain a visa at the airport.
