JEONJU, South Korea (Kashmir English): Pakistan on Sunday gave a dominant performance as it crushed South Korea 91-6 in their third group-stage encounter in the Asian Youth Girls Netball Championship 2025, at the Jeonju Hwasan Gymnasium.
Pakistani team will face Japan in their fourth group-stage match today (Monday).
The Pakistani team dominated the game throughout the whole proceedings, showcasing exceptional skill, coordination, and teamwork.
Standout performances came from Haleema, Farah Rasheed, Sarina Hussain, Leya Raza Shah, Alisha Naveed, Jasmine Farooq, Amani, Parisa, Sumayya Ahmed, and Alina, all of whom played a pivotal role in securing the emphatic victory.
With the Sunday’s win, Pakistan now sit at the top of Pool B and also unbeaten in the event so far. The team will face Japan in their fourth group-stage match today, followed by their final round-robin fixture against the Maldives on July 1.
Netball Championship 2025
The Asian Youth Girls Netball Championship 2025 features a total of 11 participating teams and is being played from June 27 to July 4 under the supervision of the Asian Netball Federation.
The teams are divided into two groups with Group A comprising Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong and India. Group B consists of Pakistan, Chinese Taipei, South Korea, Japan, Maldives, and Saudi Arabia.
