ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Pakistani esports star Atif Butt claimed the Tekken 8 championship title at the CEO 2025 tournament held in Florida, USA. The event is one of the most prestigious in the global fighting game scene, and Atif Butt dominated it with his world-class performance.

Representing Team Falcons, Atif ran the table with supreme control in the upper bracket, capping off his campaign with a clinical 3-2 win over South Korea’s ULSAN in the grand final. The victory not only reinforced Pakistan’s elite standing in the Tekken scene but also added 560 EWC points to Atif’s resume, further bolstering his seeding ahead of the Esports World Cup 2025, for which he had already qualified.

The final clash between Atif Butt and ULSAN was a blend of strategy, adaptation, and razor-thin margins. With Anna Williams in hand, Atif stormed to a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five contest before being pegged back to 2-2. However, with the title slipping away, he mustered up every strategy to land the final blow and claim the title, edging the Korean 3-2 in a nail-biting finish, sealing Pakistan’s top spot on the podium and making it two out of three for his country in the top three.

Atif Butt has already made a name for himself in the Tekken community. He previously won CEO 2024 and reached the finals in major events like the Tekken World Tour Finals and EVO. His earlier rise to fame came in Tekken 7, where he won the Tekken World Tour Finals using Akuma, and also clinched the title at Tokyo Tekken Masters 2019.

CEO 20255 wasn’t just a tournament win – it was another emphatic statement from Pakistan’s Tekken scene. Atif’s triumph adds to an ever-growing list of major titles for the South Asian nation, whose dominance in the 3D fighter continues to inspire. Notably, all four of Pakistan’s representatives – Atif, Arslan Ash, Farzeen, and Bilal – showcased elite-level performance against the world’s best, with three of them landing in the top 6.

With CEO 2025 in the books, attention now turns to the Esports World Cup, where Atif, ULSAN, Arslan Ash, and Farzeen are already locked in.

This latest win at CEO 2025 confirms Atif Butt’s position as one of the top Tekken players in the world. His journey continues to inspire young gamers in Pakistan and beyond, proving that talent, hard work, and dedication can take you to the global stage.
