COLOMBO (Kashmir English): Pakistan will face Namibia in a crucial T20 World Cup 2026 group stage match here today (February 18, 2026).
The “do-or-die” game for Pakistan following their 61-run loss to India, will be staged at the Sinhalese Sports Club Cricket Ground in Colombo.
The match will start at 2:30 pm PST. Pakistan currently sits in third place in Group A with 4 points. A win against Namibia is essentially required to reach 6 points and confirm their spot in the Super 8 round.
Weather may disrupt T20 World Cup game
There are high chances of rain in Colombo today. If the match is washed out, both teams will get one point each, which would take Pakistan to 5 points — enough to overtake the USA and also qualify for the Super 8 by default.
According to media reports, the team management is considering dropping senior players Babar Azam and Shaheen Shah Afridi for this match due to poor performance in the loss to India.
On the other hand, Namibia is already out of the tournament after having lost all three of their group matches so far (against Netherlands, India, and USA).
