LAHORE (Kashmir English): Pakistan may or may not participate in the ICC T20 World Cup, and a final decision on this is expected tomorrow (Monday).
According to sources, Pakistan is considering an important decision regarding its participation in the World Cup. Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Mohsin Naqvi will meet Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif tomorrow and discuss team’s participation in the World Cup.
Sources stated that during this meeting, withdrawal from the World Cup will be considered, citing the ICC’s inappropriate attitude towards Bangladesh, and it is also expected that the team might not play against the Indian team.

Meanwhile, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi met with the national cricket team players and informed them about PCB’s stance regarding the ICC T20 World Cup.
The players praised the Chairman’s principled stance and assured their full support. Mohsin Naqvi extended his best wishes to the team for the Pakistan-Australia T20 series.
On this occasion, the PCB Chairman said that the Bangladesh Cricket Board’s stance on not playing matches in India during the World Cup is based on principle.
Mohsin Naqvi added that PCB will fully implement whatever decision the Pakistani government makes adding politicized cricket is not in anyone’s interest.
He said that cricket fans are also looking forward to the Pakistan-Australia series and expect the team to perform at its best.
