MANAMA, Bahrain (Kashmir English): Pakistan has reserved a place in the semi-finals of the Asian Volleyball Championship after defeating Indonesia 3-1 in the quarter-final game held at Isa bin Rashid Hall in Manama, Bahrain, on Saturday.
The Pakistani squad displayed excellent performance, bouncing back strongly after losing the first set to win the next three in a convincing manner.
The final scoreline stood at 25-20, 21-25, 20-25, 17-25, promising Pakistan’s place among the top four teams in the tournament.
Men’s Volleyball Nations Cup
Pakistan continued its impressive run at the AVC Men’s Volleyball Nations Cup, storming into the semi-finals after a thrilling 3-1 victory over Indonesia in the quarter-final.
The Green Shirts suffered a setback in the beginning of the match, as Indonesia took the opening set 25-20 in 26 minutes, putting early pressure on Pakistan.
However, the national side responded brilliantly, winning the second set 25-21 after a 28-minute clash to level the contest.
With momentum on their side, Pakistan won the next two sets — 25-20 and 25-17 — to seal the match and maintain their unbeaten record in the tournament.
Pakistan, riding high on form, resilience, and momentum, now eyes a place in the final.
