UPPER CHITRAL (Kashmir English): At least two people died while 11 others were rescued after a passenger coach met with an accident on the riverbank at Koragh in Upper Chitral district.
According to the details, the prompt action of the Pakistan Army saved the precious lives of those who were traveling from Peshawar to Torkho in Lower Chitral.
A total of 13 passengers were on board, who were traveling from Peshawar to Torkho in Lower Chitral, when they met with an accident. Two people died in the accident, while several were injured.
As soon as the information was received, the local unit of the security forces initiated the rescue operation, despite the severe weather and difficult terrain.
The rescue teams shifted the injured to safe places where they were provided with first aid. Later, the injured were immediately transferred to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Boni.
The local unit of the Pakistan Army shifted the remaining passengers to a safe place and provided them with warm clothes and tea. The people thanked the Pakistan Army for its timely response.
