LONDON (Kashmir English): The Pakistan Army team has secured a silver medal at the prestigious military exercise Cambrian Patrol 2026 in Wales, United Kingdom, which ran from October 2 to 13, 2026.

High Commissioner of Pakistan to the UK, Tipu Usman, on Wednesday hosted the silver medal-winning team at the High Commission in London, according to a press release issued by the High Commission.

The High Commissioner discussed their experience of the exercise and congratulated them on their achievement.

The military exercise is widely regarded as one of the most demanding international military patrolling competitions, with 140 teams from 36 countries taking part this year.

“Pakistan’s entry, drawn from the 59th Punjab Regiment, consisted of one officer and seven soldiers, and earned a Silver Medal,” the press release added.

The result adds to the Pakistan Army’s fifth medal at the event, including Silver in 2022 and 2023, followed by Gold in 2024 and 2025. With this year’s Silver, Pakistan has now won medals in five consecutive years.

“The visit to the High Commission gave the team a chance to share their experience with mission staff and to be recognised for their efforts.”

Their performance reflects the professionalism and fitness of Pakistan Army personnel and adds to the country’s standing in international military engagement, the press release concluded.
