Muzaffarabad: The Pakistan Army set up a free medical camp in AJK in collaboration with the Public Health Department in the Saawan area of Jehlum Valley, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
The camp was attended by many residents, including the relatives of servicemen and martyrs. The camp provided health care services, including a group of specialised medical professionals such as gynaecologists and general practitioners.
These medical professionals examined the visitors at the camp and shared their expertise with them. Free consultancy, recommendations, and medication were given to the patients.
Residents welcomed the supply of healthcare in isolated locations and showed their appreciation for the Pakistan Army’s efforts. One resident stated, “This is a wonderful initiative, and we hope such camps continue in the future.” The feeling of immense gratitude towards the Pakistan Army was common among the people.
During the event, a mobile complaint cell was also established. Here the concerns of veterans were heard, and attempts at corrective action were taken.
The Pakistani army is known to have taken such valuable initiatives in the past too. The local community greatly appreciates the Pakistan Army’s efforts towards better public health. They express gratitude for the Pakistan Army’s annual organisation of similar camps in isolated and underdeveloped regions of AJK.
Previously, a free medical camp in AJK was established by the Pakistan Army Chauhan village near Sheikhupura. The camp aimed at providing free and quality health care to the residents of the Chauhan village and the neighbouring villages.
Many health care experts, including gynaecologists, were present at the camp. They offered a variety of diagnostics, including an electrocardiogram (ECG), in addition to general treatment. Additionally, the physicians and paramedics discussed the importance of eating a healthy diet, avoiding illnesses like dengue, and practicing excellent cleanliness.
Another Pakistan Army-sponsored health camp was organised in Bhasin Village and neighbouring rural areas near Lahore. During the event, medical professionals conducted examinations and provided treatments to hundreds of individuals.
Many physicians and paramedical personnel, including gynaecologists, attended the camp. The participants were also given health awareness talks about disease prevention, including how to avoid dengue.
