Pakistan, Afghan forces exchange fire along border in Khyber district

KHYBER (Kashmir English): Heavy firing between Pakistan armed forces and Afghan forces has been reported at various places along the Pak-Afghan border in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, security sources said.

As per details, firing is ongoing at Maro Sar and Shah Kot Sar in the Bazar Zakha Khel area of ​​Khyber district.

Sources said that heavy weapons are being used by both sides in the exchange of fire, which started at 5:15 pm.

No immediate reports of casualties are reported, security sources added.

TTA hideouts destroyed

In response to the Afghan forces’ unprovoked firing, the Pakistan Army took effective action and destroyed several enemy hideouts with artillery shells.

The Pakistani security forces completely silenced the TTA hideouts.

According to sources, the TTA terrorists were forced to flee, abandoning their posts due to the heavy retaliatory fire from Pakistan.

Sources said that two Khawarij were killed on the spot, while two others, who were injured and in critical condition, fled from posts in an attempt to save their lives.
