ISLAMABAD: In a recent development, the Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif has been addressing the National Assembly, in which he expressed his gratitude towards the Pakistan Army and Special Air Forces for the successful retaliation of Indian aggression.
Additionally, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif thanked the US President Donald Trump for persuading India to cease fire.
Earlier, in his message on social networking site X, the Prime Minister wrote that we thank President Trump for his leadership and active role for peace in the region.
He said that Pakistan appreciates the US for facilitating this occasion and we have accepted the cease fire in the interest of regional peace and stability.
The Prime Minister also thanked US Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, saying that they have rendered valuable services for peace in South Asia.
Shahbaz Sharif further wrote that Pakistan believes that the cease fire marks a new beginning in resolving issues, after which the journey of peace, prosperity and stability will begin.
