COLOMBO (Kashmir English): Pakistan has thrashed the USA (Pak vs USA) by 32 runs to claim second-consecutive vicotry in the ongoing T20 World Cup at the Sinhalese Sports Club (SSC) Ground on Tuesday.
Pakistan scored 190 runs for the loss of 9 wickets while batting first, and in pursuit of the target, the US team could score 158 runs for the loss of 8 wickets.
Sahibzada Farhan was the standout for Pakistan by scoring 73 runs off 41 balls. Babar Azam was dismissed for 46 runs, while Shadab Khan was dismissed for 30 runs off 12 balls.
For the US, Shadley van Schalkwyk took four wickets while Harmeet Singh, Mohsin, and Saurabh Netravalkar took 1 wicket each.
In the second inning for the USA, Shubham Rajane scored 51 runs, while Shayan Jahangir scored 49 runs. Milind Kumar was dismissed for 29 runs.
For Pakistan, Usman Tariq took 3 wickets. Shadab Khan took 2 wickets, while Shaheen, Abrar, and Nawaz took 1 wicket each.
It should be noted that Pakistan defeated the Netherlands by 3 wickets in its first match after a thrilling contest. While the US was defeated by India.
