LAHORE (Kashmir English): Pakistan has defeated Australia by 90 runs in the second T20 match played (Pak vs Aus) in the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore on Saturday.

Pakistan set Australia a target of 199 runs to win in the second match of the 3-match T20 series.

In the match being played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Pakistan, captain Salman Ali Agha won the toss and decided to bat first. Pakistan scored 198 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Salman Agha was outstanding by scoring 76 runs.

3 changes were made to Pakistan’s playing XI for the second T20 match. Usman Tariq, Faheem Ashraf, and Naseem Shah have been included in the playing XI, while Shaheen Shah Afridi, Salman Mirza, and Fakhar Zaman have been rested.

Pakistan’s inning

Pakistan did not start well against Australia. Sahibzada Farhan could not play a big innings once again and was dismissed for only 5 runs.

Saim Ayub, 23, and Babar also returned to the pavilion for 2 runs. In such a situation, Captain Salman Ali Agha played a responsible and fast innings; he scored 76 runs off 40 balls.

In addition, Usman Khan also scored a fifty and was dismissed for 53 runs off 36 balls. Shadab Khan, 28, and Mohammad Nawaz remained unbeaten on 9 runs.

Australia’s Inning

In response to Pakistan’s target of 199 runs, the Australian team could not face the spinners of the green shirts and other wickets fell one after another. Chasing the target, the Australian team was bowled out for 108 runs in 15.4 overs. Cameron Green and Matthew Short were outstanding with 35 and 27 runs.

Abrar Ahmed and Shadab Khan took 3 wickets each. Usman Tariq took 2, Saim Ayub and Muhammad Nawaz took one wicket each.
