ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Individuals going abroad for employment will now be required to register on the “Pak Skills” platform.

The Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis has introduced “Pak Skills” to reduce the risk of human trafficking, which will be effective from November 19.

Registration on the “Pak Skills” app is totally free. The Ministry said that Protector will not be issued on the passport without registration.

Applicants seeking jobs abroad will have to provide their personal information, which includes CNIC and passport number, educational qualification, and details of overseas employment.

“Pak Skills” certificate

Individuals going abroad for employment will not be issued any protector without a “Pak Skills” certificate. This measure will help reduce human trafficking.

It is worth noting that earlier, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) had also implemented a new regulation for Pakistanis traveling abroad for employment, requiring them to submit an affidavit signed by a senior government officer of Grade 18 or 19.

This affidavit will confirm that the traveler will only work at the mentioned place of employment and will not attempt to enter Europe illegally.
