Overseas Kashmiris convention kicks off in Muzaffarabad with global participation

MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The Overseas Kashmiris Convention, organized by the Azad Kashmir government, has begun in Muzaffarabad, in which overseas Kashmiris from all over the world participated.

Kashmiris who have made a name for themselves in various fields around the world are participating in the convention, while Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, Opposition Leader, Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Hurriyat leaders, and government ministers are also participating in this important event.

Panel group discussions and policy dialogues are being organized at the overseas convention. The Azad Kashmir government has made excellent arrangements for the overseas convention.

The convention has opportunities for the development and investment of the state, while the measures related to this convention include the establishment of a special, separate court for overseas.

The establishment of the Prime Minister’s Azad Kashmir web portal for resolving the problems and complaints of overseas people is also included, while the establishment of a one-window operation for investment is also included in the measures.

Art and culture shows are also part of the overseas convention, while a comprehensive policy will be formulated in light of the recommendations after the panel discussion. The convention has investment proposals in the IT, hydel, tourism, and mineral sectors, which are being discussed.

On the other hand, government minister Sardar Yasir Sultan, MLA Abdul Majid Khan and Asim Sharif Butt could not find a place to sit at the overseas convention, and the three MLAs returned without attending the event due to not being able to find a place.
