MUZAFFRABAD (Kashmir English): The opposition members in Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly have staged a protest ahead of the budget 2025-26 presentations.
The opposition leader, Khawaja Farooq, and members staged a protest and blocked the main entrance of the assembly, blocking government members from participating in the budget session.
Talking to Kashmir Digital, the opposition members stated that the government unconstitutionally wants to approve the budget today without the consent and dialogue with the opposition parties.
The opposition leaders state that we will not allow the government to enter the assembly and present the budget until and unless our demands are approved.
Earlier, the finance department issued a notification regarding the budget session, stating that the budget session is scheduled to take place at 11 am today.
As per details, the government has prepared a budget with an outlay of Rs310 billion, including both development and non-development expenditures, for the fiscal year 2025-26.
