ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) on Thursday announced a significant reduction in Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) prices for August 2025.
According to the OGRA notification, the LPG has been reduced by Rs 17.73 per kilogram, fixing the price at Rs 215.37.
The price of an 11.8-kilogram domestic cylinder has been reduced by Rs 209.24, after which the new price is set at Rs 2,541.
The reduction aligns with global trends in oil prices and aims to ease the financial burden on consumers.
Meanwhile, the government is expected to reduce petrol and diesel prices from August 1, 2025, following the dip in the global market.
According to media reports, the petrol prices in Pakistan may decrease by Rs. 6.82 per liter, bringing the new rate to around Rs. 265.33 per liter. Meanwhile, high-speed diesel is expected to become cheaper by Rs. 1.68 per liter, settling at approximately Rs. 282.67 per liter.
The OGRA will submit its summary to the Petroleum Division, and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will grant final approval for the adjustments in petroleum product prices.
