ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The federal government on Tuesday reduced the petrol price and increased the diesel price, effective Wednesday, August 12, a day after the prices remained unchanged.
According to the notification issued by the Petroleum Division, the price of petrol was lowered by Rs 1.70 per liter, and the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) was hiked by Rs 1.39 per liter.
“The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has revised the ex-depot prices of the petroleum products for August 12, 2026,” the notification stated.
With the latest revision, the new price of petrol has been fixed at Rs 325.92 per liter and diesel at Rs 382.25 per liter.
Yesterday, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) kept the petrol and diesel prices unchanged at Rs 327.62 per liter and diesel at Rs 380.86 per liter, respectively.
