GUJRANWALA (Kashmir English): Pakistani weightlifter Noah Dastgir Butt has once again made the country famous on the world stage, being declared the World’s Strongest man for the second consecutive time.
The world-class athlete from Gujranwala performed brilliantly at the World Strongman Championship, winning two gold medals. Noah Dastgir Butt won one gold medal in fencing and the other in the overall games.
As the defending champion, Noah Dastgir Butt confidently participated in the competitions by scoring all the points in the preliminary games. He had won the same title last year as well.

Earlier, on 3 August 2022, Butt bagged Pakistan’s first gold medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games when he won the men’s +109 kg weightlifting event. He lifted 173 kg in the snatch category, and 232 kg in clean and jerk, both Commonwealth Games records, for a combined lift of 405 kg
