ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The Islamic holy month of Ramadan will start soon, which has led schools in Punjab to modify their 2026 schedule. The new timetable will assist students, teachers, and staff members in observing their fasting requirements during the holy month.
The School Education Department of Punjab announced major adjustments to school timings during Ramadan 2026, which will help fasting students, teachers, and staff members to face their daily responsibilities.
The Islamic holy month of Ramadan will begin in Pakistan between February 18 and February 19, based on the moon sighting. The current school schedule operates between 8 45 AM and 1 30 PM, which will continue until April 15 for all schools.

Parents expressed their increasing dissatisfaction with the delayed school start times, which led them to request that the government make urgent schedule changes since the smog season now allows for safer early school start times.
The School Education Department has not introduced any fresh initiatives, which has caused families and staff members to wait for official information.
