LAHORE (Kashmir English): The National Cybercrime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has issued notices to prominent YouTubers and influencers in connection with the promotion of online gambling and betting apps.

The NCCIA has expanded its investigation into the issue of promoting illegal online gambling applications on social media.

The agency has summoned two more prominent YouTubers, Anas Ali and Nadeem Mubarak, to its Gulberg office on September 9.

According to the agency’s spokesperson, the two individuals are accused of promoting illegal gambling apps on social media platforms and encouraging the public to invest in them.

The spokesperson said that innocent citizens were financially harmed and robbed through these applications.

It may be recalled that earlier, prominent YouTuber Saad-ur-Rehman alias Ducky  Bhai was also arrested at Lahore Airport on similar charges.

He is accused of promoting gambling apps and misleading the public, and is currently on physical remand in the custody of the Cyber Crime Agency.

According to NCCIA officials, these operations are part of a wider campaign against illegal online betting platforms, which is aimed at protecting innocent citizens from these criminal activities.

Earlier, the agency had summoned several other TikTokers, including Iqra Kanwal, a member of the renowned Sistrolgy group, Mudassar Hassan, and Muhammad Hasnain.

It should be noted that this development comes after the arrest of YouTuber Saad-ur-Rehman alias Ducky Bhai from Lahore airport last month, when the NCCIA had registered a case for promoting online gambling and betting applications.
