Nation marks Air Force Day to honour heroes of 1965 aerial battle

ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Air Force Day is being celebrated across the country today in memory of the aerial battle fought on September 7 in the 1965 war.

On September 7, 1965, the falcons of the Pakistan Air Force created a history of courage and bravery.

The soldiers of the Pakistan Air Force bravely thwarted the enemy’s nefarious plans.

On this day in 1965, Pakistani falcons established dominance over the skies, crushing the pride of an enemy four times larger.

Squadron Leader MM Alam set a record by shooting down five Indian fighter jets in less than a minute, as the enemy lost a total of 104 planes.

Prime Minister  Shehbaz Sharif’s Message

Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif paid tribute to the brave soldiers of the Pakistan Air Force and their outstanding performance on the occasion of Air Force Day.

The Prime Minister said that the sacrifices of the Pakistan Air Force are a bright chapter in history, and their professionalism is no less than any in the world.

The Prime Minister added that it is a matter of pride for me to pay tribute to the martyrs of the Pakistan Air Force. Their sacrifices will always live in our hearts.

September 7th commemorates the sacrifices and valor of the brave sons of the Pakistan Air Force, who defended the country with their great feats in the 1965 Indo-Pak war.

PM Shehbaz noted that the Pakistan Air Force, with its professional capability and strength, showed its mettle in air battles and gave a befitting reply to the enemy.

He also added that the armed forces, with unity and harmony, defeated the enemy from all sides.

The PM Sharif emphasized that the multi-faceted capabilities are clear proof of the innovation of the Pakistan Air Force in recent years.

He expressed confidence that the Pakistan Air Force, as always, will rise to every occasion and standard and will continue to protect the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

President Asif Ali Zardari’s Message

President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari has paid tribute to the martyrs, ghazis, and all the soldiers of the Pakistan Air Force on the occasion of Air Force Day.

In his special message, the President said that the nation salutes its martyrs and ghazis, who sacrificed their lives to defend the motherland and displayed unparalleled courage and bravery.

Recalling the 1965 war, President Zardari said that the Pakistan Air Force created a story of bravery and valor in this historic battle that will be remembered forever.

He said that the Pakistan Air Force demonstrated professionalism, high morale, and courage not only during the war but also in every difficult time.

He said that the Pakistan Air Force played a decisive role in the Marka-e-Haq, “Banyan al-Marsoos”, and gave a befitting reply to the enemy on every front.

The President said that the Pakistan Air Force’s outstanding professional capabilities have amazed the world, and its modern capabilities are a strong guarantee of national defense.

He added that the Pakistan Air Force has always vigorously defended the country’s airspace and national integrity.
