ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) notified the amount to be paid in Pakistani rupees and dollars to change the age in the National Identity Card.
The NADRA enables citizens to apply for a change to their date of birth mentioned on the NADRA ID card, upon verification and on payment of a defined fee structure.
Applicants planning to apply for an age change need to submit valid and authentic documents such as birth certificates and official records.
These requests can be made at the NADRA Registration Centres (NRCs), which are across Pakistan, or through the Pakistani Embassies if the citizen is abroad. In addition, requests can also be made via the Pak ID mobile application
The amounts for NADRA fees are different depending on whether the duration for which the change has been applied for is from Pakistan or overseas.
For Pakistani nationals, NADRA demands varying fees for age changes depending on the change to be made to their data. An age change of up to one year requires a fee of Rs1,000, while a change of over one year but less than two years incurs a Rs2,000 fee.
Applicants with changes exceeding two years but less than three years to their age data are charged Rs3,000, while changes over three years incur Rs5,000 as the applicable fee.
For second requests to modify age data, a fee of Rs 10,000 will be required.
For overseas applicants, the fees for modifying the ages are to be charged in US Dollars. If it involves correcting up to one year, it would cost the applicant 15 US Dollars.
Applying for a change of more than one year up to two years charges a fee of 25 US Dollars.
A change involving more than two years up to three years would require a fee of 40 US Dollars, whereas if it involves more than three years, it would cost 65 US Dollars.
In case the applicant applies for the correction of ages for the second time, it would attract a fee of 125 US Dollars.
