MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The weather in Azad Kashmir’s Muzaffarabad is expected to be cold and partly cloudy today (Saturday), turning overcast by afternoon.

According to the Pakistan Metrological Department (PMD) forecast, mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country.

“However, cold and partly cloudy weather is likely in Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan,” the Met Office predicted.

The weather in Muzaffarabad began with nice conditions because partly cloudy skies were observed under light variable wind patterns.

According to AccuWeatherthe temperature will rise to 21°C but will feel like 23°C during the afternoon hours. Weather forecasts indicate rising cloudiness that will develop later in the day while showing the prospect of precipitation will keep low at 2 per cent. 

Data shows that humidity stands at 30 per cent which demonstrates that the environment has suitable moisture content. The daytime wind speed stays light and changes frequently at 5 km/to sustain a peaceful atmospheric condition.

Travellers to Neelum Valley and other high-altitude areas should remain cautious of road closures or landslides in case of snow showers or rain. Tourists are encouraged to stay safe and plan their activities accordingly.

PMD predicts that the weather in Pakistan has turned dry once again after most of Punjab, including Lahore, has moved out.

The weather is forecast to remain cold and dry across most of the country, including the federal capital, Islamabad, and its surrounding areas.

In Punjab, a dry spell is expected across most districts, with severe cold and partially cloudy skies forecasted for Murree, Galyat, and neighbouring areas.

In Sindh, the weather will remain dry in most districts, though a few areas may experience partial cloud cover. Similarly, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, dry and cold weather is anticipated in most districts, with the upper regions experiencing severe cold.
