MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Muzaffarabad defeated Bagh to clinch the Azad Kashmir National Badminton Championship.
After the splendid success of Ma’arka-e-Haq, this time the tournament was also named after it.
Ma’arka-e-Haq astonished the world with Pakistan and the Pakistan Army’s surprising success. Previously, this honour belonged to Mirpur, but in this tournament, Muzaffarabad team defeated Bagh team to achieve success.
The chief guests for the final were GOC Murree and the Chief Secretary Azad Kashmir. On this occasion, the Sports Board provided full cooperation.
Muzaffarabad won the title in 2017, and now, after 8 years, Sardar Mohtib and his team succeeded in winning this title again.
Azad Jammu and Kashmir Badminton Association
This event was organized in collaboration with the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Badminton Association, the Department of Sports, Youth and Culture, and the Pakistan Army.
During the championship, renowned players from all over Azad Kashmir participated in the event, showcasing excellent play and thoroughly entertaining the spectators.
A large number of people, including Secretary Forests Ansar Yaqoob, Secretary Sports Ms. Tahzeeb-un-Nisa, Secretary Religious Affairs Amir Mahmood Mirza, Special Secretary Home and President Badminton Association Raja Tahir Mumtaz, Chairman TEVTA Naeem Bismil, DG Sports, Deputy Commissioner, government officials, sports personalities, and citizens, also attended the tournament’s closing ceremony.
