Muzaffarabad Police seize 7kgs of hashish in major anti-narcotics operation

MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): In a significant success in the ongoing anti-narcotics campaign, SHO Saddar Police Station Muzaffarabad, Chaudhry Naveed-ul-Hasan, along with his team recovered 7 kilograms of hashish and arrested a suspect.

According to details, under the special anti-drug campaign led by SSP Riaz Bukhari and DSP Raja Faisal Shafiq, Saddar Police conducted a major operation.

The operation, supervised by SHO Chaudhry Naveed-ul-Hasan and carried out by a team consisting of Investigation Officer Mir Tanveer Salahria, DFC Mir Jameel Salharia, DFC Imran Yousaf, and DFC Sabir Sheikh, was based on a tip-off.

The team apprehended suspect Danish Shah, son of Vilayat Shah, originally from Lwat, District Neelum, and currently residing in Dheriyan Bumbiyan, Muzaffarabad.

Anti-narcotics operation

During the operation, police recovered 7 kilograms of high-grade hashish (type: “Garda”) from the suspect’s possession.

A case has been registered under the Anti-Narcotics Act, and the accused has been placed in custody. According to police sources, further investigation is ongoing, and shocking revelations are expected that may uncover a broader drug trafficking network.
