Muzaffarabad Police nab gang involved in robbing bike riders

MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Muzaffarabad Police arrested a two-member gang of robbers who tortured a bike service rider and snatched his motorcycle and mobile phone.

The gang members, identified as Ehtesham and Haris Abbasi, were arrested after a timely and effective operation by the Kohala post police.

As per the details, SHO Secretariat police station informed the Kohala post that two accused booked a bike rider named Zareen and took him to Ambor, where they tortured him and snatched his motorcycle and mobile phone.

Upon receiving the information, the Kohala police post in charge launched a search operation and arrested both the accused.

The police recovered the snatched motorcycle and mobile phone from a hiding place in Ambor.

During the operation, the police arrested both robbers, who were identified as Ehtesham, a resident of Muhajir Camp Raro, and Haris Abbasi, a resident of Beirut Marri.

Initial investigation revealed that the accused had hidden the motorcycle and mobile snatched from the rider at a place in Ambor, from where the police recovered both the items.

The arrested accused were handed over to the Secretariat Police Station, Muzaffarabad.
