MIRPUR (Kashmir English): Since the very advent of the holy month of Ramadan, United Kingdom-based International NGO Muslim Hands Mirpur’s Open Kitchen Sehri in the city is a heartwarming initiative aimed at providing hot, nutritious meals to those in need, mostly poor, from downtrodden segments of the society, during the holy month.
Unveiling one of the most significant welfare projects to serve the sick humanity, the Muslim Hands International’s media manager Raja Qamar Atta said that the kitchen serves freshly prepared meals to approximately 350 guests, including guards, labourers, students, and the underprivileged members of the community daily.
“The MH team works tirelessly to ensure that each guest is respected and treated with dignity as they are served delicious and nourishing meals to help them fast through the day”, he said.
Atta continued that the open kitchen provides a variety of dishes each day, ensuring a different menu item so that there is always something fresh and exciting for those coming to receive their meal.
The team’s dedication is evident as they carefully set up the dining area and serve the guests at their tables, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
“This initiative not only fills the stomachs of those who may otherwise struggle to afford a meal but also offers them a chance to partake in the blessings of Ramadan”, he said.
