BADAKHSHAN, Afghanistan (Kashmir English): Reports circulating on social media regarding the death of Afghan Taliban leader Mullah Hibatullah Akhundzada have been declared false and fabricated.
“Azad Fact Check” has clarified in its investigation that this information spread on the social media platform X is misleading and baseless.
According to sources, the Pakistan Armed Forces conducted air strikes on specific targets in Afghanistan on the night of March 14 and 15.
During these attacks, terrorist hideouts were targeted, as well as locations being used for various military activities.
Security sources stated that in these operations, the technical support infrastructure and equipment storage in the Kandahar area were effectively destroyed.
It was reported that this infrastructure and equipment storage were being used by the Afghan Taliban and terrorist elements to support various operations.
According to sources, the targets were successfully hit in these attacks carried out by the Pakistan Armed Forces. The released video also shows scenes of these operations, in which the targeting of specific locations can be seen.
Security sources stated that the purpose of these air strikes was to eliminate terrorist centres and facilities from where they received technical support and equipment.
The destruction of the technical support infrastructure and equipment storage in Kandahar is being described as a significant outcome of this operation.
According to security sources, all these operations are being carried out under Operation “Ghazab Lil Haq”. Under this operation, action against terrorist elements will continue until the set objectives are achieved.

Some accounts on social media were claiming that Afghan Taliban leader Mullah Hibatullah Akhundzada had been killed in Pakistani attacks.
However, Azad Fact Check, after investigating this claim, declared it completely false. The organization stated that this news is based on false and fabricated information that has no connection to reality.
According to Azad Fact Check, messages and posts circulating on X claimed that the Afghan Taliban leader was killed as a result of Pakistani attacks.
After investigation, it was revealed that there is no credible basis for this claim, and it is merely an example of the spread of misinformation.
