Pakistan’s Muhammad Asif reaches IBSF World Masters Final, set to face India’s Brijesh Damani

MANAMA (Kashmir English): Pakistan’s star cueist Muhammad Asif has once again made his country proud by qualifying for the final of the IBSF World Masters Snooker Championship 2025, being held in Manama, Bahrain. His stellar performance in the semi-final against India’s Manan Chandra has set the stage for an exciting final showdown.

Muhammad Asif defeated Manan Chandra 4-2 in a thrilling match. The frame scores were 118-6, 0-84, 25-76, 92-11, 87-62, and 72-41. Despite dropping two frames, Asif showed immense focus and composure to bounce back and secure his place in the final.

This isn’t the first time Muhammad Asif has impressed on the international snooker stage. A former world champion, he has consistently delivered for Pakistan over the years. His experience and calm under pressure continue to set him apart from the competition.

In earlier rounds, Asif displayed similar dominance, beating Bahrain’s Habib Sabah 4-0 and UAE’s Mohamed Shehab 4-2. His strong performance throughout the tournament has made him one of the favorites to lift the title.

In the final, Muhammad Asif will face another Indian cueist, Brijesh Damani, in a high-stakes match scheduled for Friday at 6:00 pm local time (8:00 pm Pakistan time). The clash is expected to draw attention from fans across both countries.

Meanwhile, another young Pakistani cueist, Hasnain Akhtar, has also made headlines by reaching the final of the U-17 category in the same championship. He defeated Poland’s Oliwier Nizialek 4-1 in the semi-final and will also play his final on Friday.

The success of both Muhammad Asif and Hasnain Akhtar marks a proud moment for Pakistan’s snooker scene and builds hope for a double victory on the international stage.
