HATTIAN BALA (Kashmir English): The Azad Kashmir Health Department has launched the Motorbike Ambulance Service in Jhelum Valley in a significant step towards improving healthcare services.

This initiative aims to provide immediate and effective medical facilities to the public, especially in remote and hard-to-reach areas.

The Bike Ambulance Service will provide immediate first aid and transportation to patients to the nearest hospital in emergency situations.

As per details, the ambulance is designed to access narrow and difficult roads, ensuring timely medical assistance in remote areas. The motorbike ambulances will be equipped with basic medicines, first aid equipment, and trained staff to provide immediate care.

A grand ceremony in this regard was held at the District Health Office Hattian Bala, in which Secretary Health Brigadier (R) Farid Ahmed, Director Health Services Dr. Farooq Awan, DHO Dr. Tahir Rahim Mughal, and other officers of the Health Department and related staff participated.

On the occasion, speakers termed this initiative a “game changer” for the immediate provision of health facilities in remote areas. The service is expected to reduce response times and save precious lives in emergencies, officials said.

The public has appreciated this initiative and expressed hope that this service will play an important role in improving health facilities in remote and underserved areas.
