MIRPUR (Kashmir English): Mirpur is set to host the All Azad Kashmir Inter-District Volleyball Tournament is set to begin on April 22, 2025 at the Government Boys Postgraduate College in Mirpur.
According to the details, Pakistan Army and Sports, Youth and Culture Department has organized this event.
Over the next four days, it will proceed to its conclusion on April 25, 2025. The purpose of the tournament it is designed to bring volleyball teams together from all over the districts of Azad Kashmir to encourage healthy competition and sportsmanship.
Unprecedented buzz did not come without encouragement as the spokesperson of the Sports Department mentioned fans from all over Azad Kashmir are invited to participate effectively to encourage fans to join and shout and cheer on their teams.
The message is next to be to encourage many no doubt so there will some exciting scenes for the local, loud fan cheers will invite bigger crowds.
The hosting of the tournament in itself not only has the opportunity to showcase the level of volleyball being played in the region but to form teams friendships, hopefully, foster some community spirit among the players from different teams with chance to meet some of players that they may not have met before.
Further, the tournament should help provide profile to volleyball, encourage team work and allow a space for players, particularly, younger players to exhibit and market their capabilities.
