Mirpur Police arrest accused behind Rs20 Million vehicle theft

MIRPUR (Kashmir English): Mirpur Police have apprehended a gang allegedly involved in stealing a rental Toyota Prado valued at Rs 20 million and recovered a vehicle from Rawalpindi.

SHO Police Station New City Mirpur Muhammad Arshad and his team traced and arrested the suspects from Barnala and Sialkot. The mastermind, Faisal alias Faisi Zafarwal, was taken into custody from Sialkot.

According to the police, the accused revealed information leading to the recovery of the vehicle from a house in Model Town, Rawalpindi, belonging to notorious Gulrez Khan.

The investigation further uncovered potential links to two stolen Honda vehicles from Mirpur. Efforts are underway to apprehend additional suspects, including Raja Irfan alias Tony and Gulrez Khan, police said.

The authorities have advised the public to exercise caution when renting out valuable vehicles.
