MIRPUR (Kashmir English): The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Mirpur has withdrawn its earlier order to shift two Class 9 examination centers during the first annual examinations 2025.
Initially, AJK BISE Mirpur chairman Prof. Nazar Hussain ordered the transfer of the exam centers from High School Jabbar Barian to Inter College Mirpur and High School Leswa to High School Jura, citing administrative reasons.
However, the Chairman has now approved the cancellation of the order, allowing the institutions to hold the exams of Class 9.
As per the latest notification, the Mirpur board chairman has cancelled its earlier order after assurances from the government minister, Mian Abdul Waheed, and Dupty Commissioner Neelum Valley.
The development came after the local community protested against the prospect of having to travel to new centers to take their exams.
The recent announcement has sparked widespread relief among parents, students, and residents who were previously quite upset about the relocation of the examination centers.
