HATTIAN BALA (Kashmir English): An 11-year-old student has been missing for six days after being abducted by unknown kidnappers from Bandi Chakan, a village near Chinari.

The victim, Wasi Haider, a student of Army Public School (APS) Jhelum Valley, was abducted by suspects riding a blue motorcycle with a fake number plate at around 5 p.m. on October 4.

Reports suggest that after reaching Chinari, the child was transferred to another motorcycle and taken towards Muzaffarabad.

Despite the passage of six days, the child has not recovered, and no case has been registered so far.

CCTV footage obtained from Khatai Bridge, Chinari Bazaar, Sawan Petrol Pump, and Hattian Bala Bazaar shows the abductors changing the motorcycle’s number plate as they transported the child.

The victim’s father, Majid Kazmi, has appealed to the authorities to ensure the swift recovery of his son and bring the perpetrators to justice.

The family is deeply distressed, while residents of the area have expressed serious concern and demanded immediate action from the Prime Minister, Chief Secretary, and Inspector General of Police, Azad Kashmir.
