Ministers inspect CMH flyover construction, urge timely completion

The CMH Flyover under construction in Muzaffarabad is progressing rapidly and the government officials have stressed on quality and timely completion. On Friday, the Minister for Public Works Azad Kashmir, Chaudhry Azhar Sadiq and the Minister for Public Health, Nisar Ansar Abdali, visited the site to review the progress.

Secretary of Works Sardar Zafar Mehmood Khan, Chief Engineer Highways Abdul Basit and Executive Engineer Zahid Gilani besides other concerned officials accompanied the ministers. The ministers on the visit issued a clear directive to have the CMH Flyover constructed within the shortest time possible and to construction standards that have been approved.

Talking to the media, Chaudhry Azhar Sadiq stated that the CMH Flyover is among the major infrastructure development projects of Muzaffarabad. When this is done, it will alleviate traffic in the city and make life easier for commuters in the city. He further added that the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir has ordered that the project be completed as soon as possible to ease the traffic problems for the people.

The minister emphasised that quality construction will not be compromised. The Highways Department and the contractors have been informed to efficiently complete the CMH Flyover in a transparent way within the given timeline.

Once completed, the CMH Flyover will add long-term value to Muzaffarabad in terms of traffic management, besides making the travelling public safe and faster.

With progress in work, the citizens remain optimistic that the CMH Flyover will be opened soon, relieving one of the biggest traffic problems in the city.
