MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Residents of Muzaffarabad are facing additional financial pressure as domestic liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders are reportedly being sold for Rs6,000 despite an official price of Rs3,200 fixed by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).

The reported market price is Rs2,800 higher than the notified rate, placing an additional burden on households already struggling with rising living costs.

Despite the issuance of an official notification, consumers have expressed concern over the alleged overcharging by LPG dealers and questioned why the notified prices are not being enforced.

Citizens have urged the district administration to take immediate notice of the situation, ensure that LPG cylinders are sold at the prescribed rates, and take action against dealers found charging excessive prices.

Residents have also called for effective market monitoring and strict implementation of the official price list to provide relief to consumers.
