MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Intermittent rains in Muzaffarabad and its adjoining areas have completely broken the grip of intense heat and humidity.
After a long period of heat and humidity, the citizens have breathed a sigh of relief due to the cloudburst in the capital and surrounding areas of Azad Kashmir, while a clear decrease in temperature has also been recorded.
Rainfall and weather conditions
According to sources, along with Muzaffarabad city, black clouds have covered the sky in Neelum Valley, Jhelum Valley, Hattian Bala, Garhi Dupatta and other nearby hilly and plain areas, and rain, including drizzle, has started.
The rains have increased the flow of water in the rivers and canals, and the fog covering the mountains has made the scenery beautiful, which the local population is enjoying.
Meteorological Department’s forecast
After several days of intense heat, the rain has turned the weather cool and pleasant, due to which the glow has returned to the faces of the citizens and the rush of people to markets and entertainment venues has started increasing.
Meteorological Department officials say that this recent series of rains in the region is likely to continue intermittently, which will further reduce the intensity of the heat.
