LEEPA VALLEY (Kashmir English): The white honey of Leepa Valley, which has natural purity, unique taste, and numerous nutritional benefits, may be very popular at the national and international levels, but due to government indifference, this industry is deprived of development.

Local honey vendors continue to produce this pure honey with their own help, but without modern facilities and government patronage, they are unable to make their place in the global market.

Leepa valley produces the best honey known as crystal white natural honey, if more attention is paid this would be marketed with proper packaging and marketing.

If the government takes steps for modern research, financial support, and export, not only can the economy of Leepa Valley be stabilized, but this white honey can also become a major source of foreign exchange for Pakistan.

Locals demand that the government take immediate steps to introduce Leepa honey as a national and international brand so that this natural blessing can be fully utilized!

Apart from that, the valley presents a very fascinating aura as it holds the land fertile enough to produce walnuts, Cheery, apples, and apricots. The valley has trees of walnut which produces the best walnut in the region.

The main crops in Leepa Valley are red rice (probably due to the high iron content in water), red beans, and wheat. Locals also grow other vegetables but are mainly for their consumption, and storing them for a cold harsh winter.
