LEEPA (Kashmir English): The Leepa Valley is once again ready to spread the colors of adventure and culture in the beautiful snow-covered valleys as the Pakistan Army-sponsored Snow Sports Festival is going to start grandly from February 27.
This event will be held at Munda Kali Bela where several snow sports and recreational activities have been arranged for the locals and tourists.
Special skiing training will be given during the festival, which will also include exciting competitions. Similarly, snow skating, painting competitions, tug of war, food festivals, and cultural stalls will also be part of this event, which will not only provide entertainment to the participants but will also expose them to the local culture and medical facilities.
This festival will also help in promoting tourism and creating economic opportunities for the local community. The organizers have invited the citizens and tourists to participate in full so that they can enjoy these beautiful and thrilling winter activities.
Earlier, a two-day Azad Kashmir tourism promotion event concluded on February 23, which included bike riding and trekking competitions where adventure enthusiasts and prominent bikers and trekkers showcased the area’s beauty to promote tourism.
The snow-capped landscapes of Azad Kashmir hosted this two-day tourism promotion event which included Jhelum Valley, Limnian, Dukhan, and Panjoti areas from Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) to attract visitors.
The event was organized by RHTT AJK alongside the Azad Kashmir Tourism Department along with the Pak Army and District Administration they presented their bike ride championship together with trekking competitions to attendees.
Both TRD (The Rider Creed) and Biker Bikers along with Javeria Zeb, who is a female biker, participated in the event which showcased impressive riding skills to audience members. The trekking participation included 25 individuals who showed their passionate interest in adventure while actively working to grow tourism in this specific area.
