ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Oppressed Kashmiris across Srinagar and other areas of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), have expressed gratitude for Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir for their consistent support for the Kashmir cause globally.

Posters featuring PM Sharif and COAS General Asim Munir have emerged across Srinagar and other areas of the occupied territory, expressing gratitude to Pakistani civilian and military leadership.

Kashmir Day

According to Kashmir Media Service, as Pakistan prepares to observe Kashmir Solidarity Day today (Feb 5), similar posters have surfaced across various parts of the region under Indian illegal control.

The posters prominently featuring the slogan “Thank You, Pakistan” alongside the green and white crescent-and-star flag, is an acknowledgment of Pakistan’s continuous and firm support for the Kashmir cause at international forums.

Kashmir Solidarity Day is observed every year since 1990, with event and massive rallies in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Pakistan and across the globe to highlight Kashmiris’ struggle against the Indian occupation.

The posters in the occupied territory reflect a continuation of this spirit, as people in Occupied Kashmir continue to reiterate their demand for self-determination and freedom from Indian subjugation.

The placement of such posters in a heavily restricted and militarized area like Srinagar reflects the resilience of the Kashmiri people in their ongoing struggle against Indian oppression.

Despite decades of Indian control, people in the IIOJK continue to raise their voices against Indian policies and assert their UN-acknowledged right to the self-determination.

Pakistan has long advocated for Kashmir’s right to self-determination and has raised the issue on more than one platforms globally.
