MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Chairman of the Kashmir Supreme League (KSL), Sardar Masood Khan, announced that the league is set to take place in June this year, with the drafting process to be completed in April.
He announced after a Kashmir Solidarity Cricket Match in Muzaffarabad on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day, where former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi was present as a special guest.
The exhibition match was played between Muzaffarabad Falcons and Valley Fighters. The players and fans gave Shahid Afridi an enthusiastic welcome upon his arrival at Narol Stadium in Muzaffarabad.
On this occasion, he was accompanied by Chairman Kashmir Supreme League Sardar Masood Khan, CEO KSL Sardar Umar Tanveer, Sports Advisor to AJK PM Azad Kashmir Sardar Ahmed Saghir, Dilawar Khan, and Idrees Gilani.
Speaking to the media, Sardar Masood Khan said, “It’s a matter of pride for us to have PSL matches in Muzaffarabad. We’re sending a message to the world that Kashmiris are peaceful people who love sports.”
Announcing details related to KSL, Masood said that it will be mandatory for teams to feature one international and two Kashmiri players in their playing XI.
