Karachi Kings sign Reeza Hendricks for upcoming PSL season

KARACHI (Kashmir English): South African batsman Reeza Hendricks has been included in the Karachi Kings squad as the replacement for West Indies batter Johnson Charles ahead of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 11.

The franchise confirmed via its official social media accounts. The franchise confirmed that Hendricks joined the squad as a replacement for Johnson Charles, who will miss the season due to personal reasons.

“Adding firepower to the #KingsSquad.Reeza Hendricks hops on board for the season ahead,” the franchise captioned the post.

Hendricks, 36, has been featured in multiple T20I leagues, including SA20, the Lanka Premier League, the PSL, and the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).

The top order batter has previously represented Multan Sultans in PSL in 2023, where he scored 304 runs in eight matches at an average of 43.42 and a strike rate of 134.51.

Haroon Arshad signed

Strengthening their squad, Karachi Kings have signed Pakistan Under-19 batting sensation Haroon Arshad for the upcoming PSL edition.

“Welcoming our newest star. After shining in domestic cricket with 3 First-Class hundreds, Pakistan U19 sensation Haroon Arshad is now ready to shine brightest on the PSL stage,” the franchise wrote on X.

The 20-year-old brings useful experience in the shorter format, having played four domestic T20 matches in which he scored 122 runs at an average of 61.00 and a strike rate of 125.77.

It should be noted that the eleventh edition of the PSL will continue from March 26 to May 3, while Karachi Kings will start their campaign from March 27. The team will play its first match against Quetta Gladiators in Lahore.

The upcoming PSL season will feature eight teams, including two new entrants — Pindiz and Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen — competing in 44 matches over 39 days.
