HAVELI KAHUTA (Kashmir English): Emir of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Azad Kashmir, Syed Shafqat Hussain Bukhari, announced the conclusion of the partys organizational setup in Haveli district in a press conference, one month since taking office.

During the press conference, Bukhari added that the election process of Jamaat-e-Islami lasted for two years, and now the party has initiated grassroots-level political mobilization.

He announced that 94 village committees will be established in Haveli to provide direct political liaison at the community level.

“We have begun at the village level and will form committees in each village to form strong political connections,” Bukhari declared. He also announced the establishment of the district body at the event.

Highlighting the party’s commitment to Kashmir, Bukhari emphasized that raising the Kashmir issue remains Jamaat-e-Islami’s foremost priority. He pledged to continue awareness campaigns and programs like Kashmir Exploitation Day to keep the issue alive among the people.

Dr. Abdul Aziz, addressing the occasion, reaffirmed that the party will emphasize public awareness drives and social progress. He reminded that Jamaat-e-Islami has always worked on health, education, drinking water projects, and orphan sponsorship schemes, and will intensify its work if it is brought to power.

Bukhari also castigated opposition parties for keeping quiet over the plight of Haveli residents, praising the media for acting as the opposition in bringing public grievances to light.

“If a candidate emerges under the partys policy, Inshallah, we will give him full support,” he further announced, marking Jamaat-e-Islamis willingness to enter active political life in Haveli.

Earlier, Jamaat-e-Islami was working in health, education, clean water, orphan sponsorship, and many other sectors. If we come to power, Inshallah, we will also work on the remaining sectors. He said that under the party policy, Inshallah, we will fully support whichever candidate comes forward.

Shafqat Bukhari said that in the way Haveli is suffering from problems, the opposition parties are silent, at present, only the media is playing the role of the opposition, and the media is commendable.
