Jhelum Valley resident rescued from Katcha gangs after 2 months

JHELUM VALLEY (Kashmir English): A Jhelum Valley resident, who was kidnapped by the bandits of Katcha area two months ago, has been safely rescued and returned to his family.

The victim, identified as Bashir Khan, is a resident of Nagni village in Chikar tehsil.

The family of the kidnapping victim expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the security agencies, civil society, media, and all those who supported them during this difficult time.

In another development, Rahim Yar Khan police rescued two men from Katcha area gangs from the area of Ahmedpur Lama Police Station on Tuesday.

Police spokesperson said that Ali Asghar Gujjar and Qurban Detha were kidnapped by the robbers at gunpoint a month-and-a-half ago. Both the abductees were rescued by the police in an intelligence-based targeted operation.
