HATTIAN BALA (Kashmir English): The newly elected officials of the Forester and Forest Guard Association for Jhelum Valley District Azad Jammu and Kashmirs (AJK) have officially taken oath under the supervision of Central Chief Supervisor Haroon Rasheed Awan.
The oath ceremony marked an important moment for the district-level organisation, as key office-bearers stepped into their roles with a sense of unity and responsibility.
The new district body for Forester and Forest Guard Association includes Raja Rizwan Basharat as President, Mudassar Awan as Chairman, Muhammad Mushtaq Khan as Vice Chairman, Nasir Chauhan as Senior Vice President, Shiraz Ansar Abbasi and Muhammad Bashir Mughal as Vice Presidents, Raja Saeed Khan as Finance Secretary, Hamza Irshad Tanoli as Information Secretary, and Muhammad Sajjad as Office Secretary.
During his speech Chief Supervisor of the Forester and Forest Guard Association Haroon Rasheed Awan praised the fresh members while advising them to maintain unity for upcoming central elections. He emphasized the need for team unity while every member maintained sincere dedication towards representing the association faithfully.
A formal meeting took place before the oath-taking as President Raja Rizwan Basharat led the proceedings. All district office-bearers together with Forest Department staff from Normal, Renewal and additional branches joined the meeting.
The meeting discussed central elections preparation for the Forester and Forest Guard Association that were coming up soon.
The participants at the gathering decided against taking any candidate stance during the current election period. Instead, a ten-member committee was formed to consult employees from different forest ranges within three days.
Based on these consultations, the committee will make a collective decision that reflects the opinions and preferences of forest department workers across the district.
The democratic method demonstrates the Forester and Forest Guard association’s strong dedication to both clarity and equal representation.
Members demonstrated their wish to preserve organizational unity alongside discipline before the upcoming central elections that would direct the forestry staff’s rights direction in Azad Kashmir.
