ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has issued a traffic plan in view of a protest call against the martyrdom of Iran’s Supreme Leader, which is scheduled to take place after Friday prayers today.

According to the traffic plan issued, the Red Zone will be completely sealed, whereas Margalla Road and Marriott Hotel routes will remain open for entry into the Red Zone.

Apart from this, all entry routes leading to the Red Zone will remain closed. Similarly, Kulsoom Plaza, Fazal Haq Road, along China Chowk will remain closed for traffic.

Citizens should use Jinnah Avenue as an alternative. There will be a diversion for traffic from Polyclinic along Lal Quarter Chowk and Luqman Hakeem Road.

Citizens should use Saddar Road as an alternative. Citizens going from G6 to F6 will use the China Chowk Underpass or Seventh Avenue to Jinnah Avenue.

There will be a diversion for traffic coming from Aabpara Chowk to Suhrawardy along Serena Hotel. Citizens coming from Club Road will use Kashmir Chowk to Srinagar Highway to Seventh Avenue, Margalla Road.

Citizens coming from Bhara Kahu will use Srinagar Highway, Seventh Avenue, and Margalla Road via Kashmir Chowk.
