ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): At least six people, including the bride and groom, died in a cylinder blast at a wedding house in G-7/2 Aabpara.
According to rescue officials, the building collapsed due to a cylinder explosion, and 8 people were also injured after being buried under the rubble.
The injured and the bodies have been shifted to the hospital.
According to Additional Deputy Commissioner General Sahibzada Yousaf, a total of 4 houses were affected as a result of the Islamabad Cylinder Blast, while guests were also present in the house.
After the rescue operation, all the people buried under the debris were rescued.
Sahibzada Yousaf said that the debris is being examined with the help of the K9 unit and modern technology, and an investigation has been launched regarding the causes of the explosion.
According to the police, the cylinder explosion occurred after the wedding procession (Barat) reached the house at 2 am.
