SRINAGAR (Kashmir English): The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has said that owing to the fragility of South Asia due to unresolved Kashmir dispute, India’s false flag operation and the BJP’s rhetoric against Pakistan has inflamed an already volatile situation in the region.
APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the Modi regime’s jingoism has once again pushed South Asia towards the brink of a big catastrophe.
He warned that since 1947, India has consistently undermined regional peace, emerging as the principal spoiler of harmony in the subcontinent.
The spokesman said that threats to the regional peace have intensified manifold since Modi came to power in India.
India obstructing peace efforts
New Delhi, he added, has been obstructing peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute for decades.
This has rendered South Asia to remain unstable. On the other hand, Minhas said, Pakistan has consistently supported efforts for regional peace.
Islamabad has repeatedly alerted the world about India’s destabilizing role in South Asia and made it clear to the international community that peace in Kashmir and South Asia depends on resolving the Kashmir dispute as per Kashmiris’ aspirations.
The APHC spokesman urged the world powers to rein in warmonger Modi before a misstep sparks wider conflict as Modi-led India’s hegemony and jingoism pose the gravest threat to regional stability.
Meanwhile, the Indian terror campaign in Indian occupied Kashmir is on the rise. According to reports, Indian armed personnel raided the residences of Sheikh Meraaj and Javed Ahmed Changa, provincial president and spokesman of Jammu and Kashmir Young Men’s League respectively, in the Srinagar area to arrest them for their pro-resistance activities.
The security personnel vandalised the rooms and harassed the inmates but did not find any objectionable thing while the two activists gave them a slip, evading arrest.
