NISSHAN (Kashmir English): India has defeated Pakistan by 19 runs to win the gold medal in the Asian Games cricket final.

India won the toss and elected to bat first, scoring 211 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

While chasing, the Pakistan team managed to score 192 runs for the loss of 6 wickets.

For Pakistan, Hassan Nawaz played a magnificent innings, scoring 96 runs off 51 balls; however, even his spirited resistance could not steer Pakistan to the target. Saim Ayub scored 29 runs.

After winning the toss, India elected to bat and got off to an aggressive start, with Abhishek Sharma leading the scoring with a blistering 61 off 21 balls. His innings included three fours and seven sixes.

Tilak Varma also produced a powerful knock, scoring 51 off 22 deliveries with three fours and four sixes, while Shivam Dube contributed 27 off 15 balls.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi scored 15 off nine balls, while Shreyas Iyer made 21 off 21. Ishan Kishan added 20 off 18 balls before being dismissed.

For Pakistan, Ahmed Daniyal and Arafat Minhas claimed two wickets each. Saim Ayub, Abrar Ahmed and the other bowlers also picked up wickets, but India maintained a high scoring rate throughout the innings.
